Siem Reap Province: During Days 3 and 4 of the National Master Trainer Training Programme on Hotel Services under the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (ASEAN MRA-TP), participants continued to deepen their knowledge and professional competencies through active group discussions and collaborative learning on the following key topics:
1. Review of the key supporting frameworks underpinning competency-based training and assessment in accordance with the ASEAN Tourism Training Toolbox.
2. Development and packaging of ASEAN qualifications (Packaging Rules for ASEAN Qualifications), covering Qualification Levels 1–5, ranging from the ASEAN Certificate II in Tourism to the Advanced Diploma in Tourism.
3. Core components of the ASEAN Tourism Training Toolbox, including:
- Trainee Manual
- Assessor Manual
- Trainer Guide
- PowerPoint (PPT) Training Materials
- ASEAN Competency Standards
4. Participants worked collaboratively in pairs to develop a Training Plan, Training Programme, and Session Plan, which will serve as the basis for their practical teaching demonstrations scheduled for Days 6 and 7 of the training programme.
The programme adopts a competency-based training approach, equipping future National Master Trainers with the pedagogical knowledge, instructional planning skills, and technical expertise required to deliver high-quality tourism training aligned with ASEAN MRA-TP standards, thereby strengthening the capacity and professionalism of Cambodia’s tourism workforce.
