Advancing Digital Transformation: Ministry of Tourism Develops the Cambodia Tourism Professionals Registration System (CTPRS) to Benefit Tourism Professionals!!

Phnom Penh, 23 July 2026: On the morning of 23 July 2026, Dr. chuob Ratana, Director of Professional Training department, Ministry of Tourism, chaired a technical meeting with departmental officials to review and discuss the Cambodia Tourism Professionals Registration System (CTPRS). The meeting focused on evaluating and enhancing the system's core functionalities to improve user accessibility, functionality, and overall operational efficiency.

The Cambodia Tourism Professionals Registration System (CTPRS) has been developed to support all key stakeholders in Cambodia's tourism sector, including tourism professionals, tourism vocational training institutions, tourism enterprises, Provincial and Municipal Departments of Tourism, national trainers, and national assessors. The platform provides a modern, transparent, and efficient digital data management system designed to strengthen the administration and development of the tourism workforce.

The system incorporates a wide range of key functions, including the registration and management of tourism professionals' profiles; administration of training programmes; issuance of digital certificates and qualifications; career guidance and self-directed learning; job matching services connecting employers with job seekers; professional competency assessments; regular updating of tourism workforce data; and the collection and analysis of labour market information on the demand and supply of human resources within the tourism sector.

The development of the CTPRS marks a significant milestone in advancing digital transformation within Cambodia's tourism sector, in line with the Royal Government of Cambodia's digital transformation agenda and the Ministry of Tourism's human resource development strategy. The system is expected to enhance the efficiency of tourism workforce management, strengthen the quality of vocational training and competency recognition, and provide reliable, evidence-based data to support policymaking, strategic planning, and the sustainable and competitive development of Cambodia's tourism industry.
