From 11 to 16 September 2026, the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Department of Tourism assigned five HoKa Master Trainers, including two women, to participate in professional internships at tourism-related business and service establishments in Siem Reap Province. The internships focused on different areas of tourism and hospitality skills, as follows:
1. Mr. Doeun Da, Head of the Education and Training Office, undertook his internship at Anantara Angkor Resort, focusing on Front Office Operations.
2. Ms. Phat Sopheap, Deputy Head of the Information Office, undertook her internship at Angkor Grace Residence & Wellness Resort, focusing on Food and Beverage Service.
3. Mr. Kha Lido, Officer of the Administration Office, undertook his internship at Abacus Restaurant, focusing on Cookery.
4. Mr. Chhoeun Saravorn, Officer of the Administration Office, undertook his internship at Lotus Blanc Resort, focusing on Food and Beverage Service.
5. Ms. Phat Sophea, Officer of the Planning Office, undertook her internship at Sokha Angkor Resort, focusing on Housekeeping.
The professional internship was organized with the objective of strengthening the knowledge, technical skills, and practical work experience of the HoKa Master Trainers through direct observation, learning, and hands-on practice within actual tourism and hospitality business environments.
The knowledge, skills, and practical experience gained through this internship will serve as a valuable foundation for the Master Trainers to apply and further disseminate their learning in tourism and hospitality skills training. This initiative will contribute to enhancing the quality and capacity of human resources in Cambodia’s tourism sector.
