Siem Reap Province: On 30 October 2026, H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the National Committee for Tourism Professionals (NCTP), presided over the certificate awarding ceremony for 100 successful trainees who completed the Capacity-Building Training Workshop for Spa and Wellness Professionals. The ceremony took place during the “2026 Tourism Job Matching Forum” at Paul Dubrule Hotel and Tourism School in Siem Reap Province.
It is worth recalling that the Ministry of Tourism, through the Department of Tourism Professional Training, organised a series of capacity-building training workshops for spa and wellness professionals in Siem Reap Province from 5 to 7 October 2026. A total of 100 trainees participated across all four training sessions, including 84 women and 8 persons with disabilities.
The workshop was designed to strengthen professional competencies, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and introduce updated techniques, while providing career guidance to spa and wellness service operators and personnel. It aimed to equip participants with a sound professional foundation for delivering services in accordance with established professional standards. Throughout the programme, trainees gained deeper insights into the fundamental concepts of the spa and wellness profession, practical spa and massage techniques, including appropriate practices and precautions, as well as professional ethics and codes of conduct.
Building on this achievement, the Ministry of Tourism expects that all 100 trainees will effectively apply the knowledge, skills and practical experience acquired to their professional service delivery with a high level of professionalism, ethical conduct and responsibility. They are also encouraged to continuously enhance their competencies in alignment with tourism service standards, thereby contributing to the provision of high-quality services and an improved visitor experience in Cambodia.
