Siem Reap Province: From 1 to 4 September 2026, in collaboration with the Skills Development Programme (SDP) of Swisscontact and GBS, the Cambodian Hospitality Training Programme (HoKa) conducted a Barista Training Course in Siem Reap Province. The training aimed to strengthen the professional competencies of HoKa hospitality trainers from the targeted provinces, with a total of 14 participants, including 8 women.
This training activity represents another significant milestone in enhancing professional qualifications and occupational skills within the tourism and hospitality sector, responding to the increasingly competitive labour market and its ongoing recovery and growth.
The training provided participants with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience in standardised coffee preparation techniques, as well as beverage service management. These competencies are expected to enable the participants to effectively transfer and disseminate their knowledge and skills through subsequent training programmes for other learners in their respective target locations.
