From 11 to 16 September 2026, the Koh Kong Provincial Department of Tourism assigned five HoKa trainer trainees to participate in a professional internship programme at tourism businesses and service establishments in Siem Reap Province. The internsh

1. Mr. Seth Rasu, Deputy Director of the Koh Kong Provincial Department of Tourism, undertook his internship at Shinta Mani Angkor Hotel, focusing on Housekeeping.
2. Mr. Chheang Vichey, Chief of the Planning, Investment and Tourism Product Development Office of the Koh Kong Provincial Department of Tourism, undertook his internship at Sarai Resort & Spa, focusing on Kitchen Operations/Cookery.
3. Mr. Sam Sadam, Official of the Koh Kong Provincial Department of Tourism, undertook his internship at PARK HYATT SIEM REAP, focusing on Housekeeping.
4. Mr. Vuth Chandarith, Official of the Koh Kong Provincial Department of Tourism, undertook his internship at Lynnaya Urban River Resort & Spa, focusing on Food and Beverage Service.
5. Mr. Phobunthoeun David, Official of the Koh Kong Provincial Department of Tourism, undertook his internship at Shinta Mani Angkor Hotel, focusing on Front Office Operations.

The professional internship programme was designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, professional attitudes, and practical work experience of HoKa trainers assigned to the Provincial Department of Tourism through direct observation, learning, and hands-on engagement in real-world tourism business environments.

The knowledge and practical experience gained through the internship will serve as an important foundation for the HoKa trainers to apply and share their newly acquired competencies in tourism and hospitality skills training. This will contribute to strengthening the quality and effectiveness of tourism human resource development in Koh Kong Province, while supporting the continuous improvement of professional standards in Cambodia’s tourism sector.
