Ministry of Tourism Collaborates with B-Hub Training Centre to Launch Pro Bono Foundational Barista Vocational Training (Session I) in Phnom Penh
PHNOM PENH – On the morning of February 19, 2026, at the B-Hub Barista Training Centre, Mr. Chek Kieron, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Professional Training, presided over the commencement of the inaugural pro bono Foundational Barista Training Course (Session I). This initiative was launched under the high authorization of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and the strategic guidance of Mr. Chuob Ratana, Director of the Department of Tourism Professional Training.
The opening ceremony was attended by executive leadership from GBS Cambodia and HSC Group, technical officials, and approximately 15 participants representing the private sector and small-to-medium enterprise (SME) coffee shop owners. The comprehensive training program is structured into two distinct sessions:
• Session I: Scheduled for February 19–20, 2026 (09:00 – 16:00).
• Session II: Scheduled for February 23–24, 2026.
B-HUB Barista Training Center, a subsidiary of Gourmet Beverage Solutions (GBS), operates with a management structure and pedagogical staff that strictly adhere to the standards prescribed by the Ministry of Tourism. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including theoretical lecture halls and practical laboratories furnished with advanced instructional materials. The center offers a tiered curriculum encompassing Basic, Intermediate, and Diploma-level Barista Skills, alongside specialized courses in Beverage Recipes and Latte Art.
The Ministry of Tourism reaffirmed its commitment to supporting B-Hub in fostering human capital development within the tourism sector. This strategic partnership aims to enhance vocational expertise and expand employment opportunities within the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry. Furthermore, it serves as a foundation for future collaborations regarding professional competency assessments and the promotion of national barista skill competitions.
