Strategic Collaboration Between the Ministry of Tourism and B-Hub Barista Training Centre: Commencement of the Second Complimentary Introductory Barista Skills Training Program in Phnom Penh!
Phnom Penh: Under the distinguished authorization of His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and following the official directives of Mr. Chhoup Ratana, Director of the Department of Tourism Vocational Training, Dr. Kim Bunnara, Deputy Director of the Department, presided over the opening ceremony of the "Complimentary Introductory Barista Skills Training Program (Session II)" on the morning of February 19, 2026. Held at the B-Hub Barista Training Centre, the event was attended by senior executives from GBS Cambodia and HSC Group, technical officials, and approximately 15 participants from the private sector and coffee enterprises.
This human capital development initiative is structured into two cohorts, comprising 20 trainees in total (10 participants per session):
1. Session I: Conducted from February 19–20, 2026 (09:00 – 16:00).
2. Session II: Scheduled for February 23–24, 2026.
The B-Hub Barista Training Centre, a subsidiary of Gourmet Beverage Solutions (GBS), operates under an administrative and pedagogical framework that aligns with the regulatory requirements established by the Ministry of Tourism. The facility is equipped with comprehensive infrastructure, including theoretical lecture halls and practical laboratories outfitted with contemporary equipment and advanced instructional aids. The curriculum is designed to cultivate professional expertise and vocational ethics across five specialized programs: (1) Barista Skills – Basic, (2) Intermediate, (3) Diploma, (4) Beverage Recipes, and (5) Latte Art. The Ministry of Tourism continues to provide strategic support to the B-Hub Barista Training Centre to bolster human resource development within the tourism sector. This collaboration aims to enhance professional competencies and expand employment opportunities within the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry. Furthermore, it serves as a foundation for future cooperation in professional competency assessments and the promotion of National Barista Competitions.
